Your facilities will be inspected by Certified
Accessibility Specialists of Disability Access
Consultants for compliance with the ADA
Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and
Facilities, 504 required ANSI or UFAS codes and
applicable State accessibility codes.
DAC maintains a Million dollar liability policy
for our inspectors while on your property.
How long does the inspection phase take? That
depends on how many inspectors are assigned to your
project and the size of the project. Generally, our
standard team of inspectors can finish two average
facilities a day. Of course, no matter how big your
facilities are, we guarantee completion within 90
days from the day we start the inspections.
We
provide a separate, bound report for each facility
(average 80 pages). We also combine all of the
findings and recommendations into worksheet manuals
(spreadsheet format) that can be taken right onto
the job. That makes it easy for you to track what
you’ve done and how you’ve done it. Also, we provide
all the information written into our software
so you can update your transition plan and generate
current reports whenever you need them.
We fully train all our inspectors in-house and
then certify them through the International
Conference of Building Officials
(the ICBO). The ICBO publishes the Uniform Building
Code
( the UBC) and has a special certification for
Accessibility Specialists.
The end result of our inspection is a document
entitled "Self-evaluation & Compliance Plan". The
document details the findings for each area required
by Department of Justice regulations and proposes
actions for compliance. The plan is written to
achieve full compliance at minimal cost to your
organization.
